Why I studied IT?

Studying Information Technology (IT) is a relevant and almost essential practice in today’s world. IT courses is highly in demand in all companies here in our country and in abroad. Information Technology (IT) education is taking the world by a storm. Companies are becoming more and more aware of the need for employees the keep up to date with the most current IT skills. 

  

Twenty-first century  (present time) organizations need appropriate systems that work properly and are secured, upgraded, maintained, and replaced as appropriate. Employees throughout an organization require support from information technology (IT) experts who understand computer systems' software and who are committed to solving whatever computer-related problems they might have.

  

IT programs exist to produce graduates who possess the right combination of knowledge and practical, hands-on expertise to take care of both an organization's information technology infrastructure and the people who use it. IT specialists assume responsibility for selecting hardware and software products.

 Graduates of the college's information technology program will be capable of addressing these needs. This program prepares students who can plan, organize, acquire, install and manage the computer technology needs of business, government, health care, schools, and other kinds of organizations.

Those new to computing or needing to up-skill to the latest hardware and softwareapplications will find IT studies particularly useful. IT students can specialize in areas such as networking, programming (business or games), web development or multimedia (art and animation).

 IT professionals (encompassing both IT and Digital Media) are among the highest paid group on average not only in the Philippines but also in other countries. As almost every industry in the world now relies on IT a career in thisfield is bursting with interesting, diverse and stimulating opportunities.

 Graduates are in high demand and can take their pick of the most dynamic opportunities on offer bothhere and overseas. World travellers take note that IT skills are both a transferrable and marketable commodity. 

So, the big "Q" is,  are you ready to face the IT world? 

The Greatest Men's Health Issues

              

                     Men and women are two completely different species- their biological make up tells it so. It is said that men have stronger endurance than women but they usually tend to neglect their bodies, especially their health. And because of this, men are often exposed to many lifestyle activities like smoking and drinking than women. They also are more prone to stress and anxiety due to their respective careers and physical activities. As such, they need to pay more attention to their health.

                Females dominate the world population compared to males with the ratio of 1:10 and men’s health issues have been a worldwide concern such as heart diseases, STD, erectile dysfunction, obesity, diabetes, prostate and colon cancer. These are some of the alarming health concerns which, unfortunately, are rising unexpectedly. One of the most prevailing health issues is the prostate cancer. According to studies, lean men are more prone to getting prostate cancer than in obese men. But recent researches revealed that obese men also have high risk of getting this disease.

                Accordingly, prostate cancer is difficult to detect most especially in its early stages among obese men until the advanced stage. This time, the disease is very difficult to treat and combative seems impossible. To be able to get rid of it, one has to be very particular about his diet to include his lifestyle. Other alarming health issues of men of today are STD and HIV/AIDS. Some men tend to have multiple sexual partners without precautionary measures so their possibility of acquiring sexually transmitted diseases is increasing.

                Indeed, men’s health issues have become a worldwide concern especially with the lagging male-female population ratio. With this, it must be properly addressed not only by men but should be everyone’s concern in order to salvage men population and keep a healthy balance between men and women species.

Why we Filipinos love to sing?

              I strongly agree that  we, Filipinos, love to sing eventhough it can bothersome. That's the way we Filipinos do to relieve stress. If you’re visiting the Philippines for the first time, do not be surprised to find karaoke and videoke machines along the seaside or by the narrow streets in a remote town.

                A Korean friend of mine, who was a student in one of a Korean School here in Makati, once asked me how come she hears people singing their heart out anytime of the day. It's true, if  I were on her shoes, I may be surprised to suddenly hear some loud singing while drinking beer together with the group in a bright afternoon. I experienced it myself when my cousins and I went to Matabungkay, Batangas, which is a few hours south of Manila. We were having lunch after a delightful swim and the cottage beside us was occupied by a family. From the child to the grandparent, everyone was eagerly trying to grab the microphone.

               Indeed, you can find videoke bars in various parts of the globe, but the Filipinos’ love of it stand out to those who have been to the country. When my Kuya came to the Philippines, he instantly requested for a videoke session because he love to sing Bruno Mars music, etc,etc. Moreover, he believed that we Filipino loves to sing! We indulged on his request, Of course, the night wouldn’t be complete without the microphone on his hand.

                 That’s catch. When you find the Filipinos in the midst of their revelry, expect that they ask you to sing at least a song or two. That’s the beauty of the Filipino hospitality. We will make sure we involve you in our celebration and we won’t allow you to just be a spectator. From birthdays to Christmas to a job promotion to just simply having fun, whatever the occasion, you’ll find a lot of singing in the Pearl of the Orient Seas. Don’t tell me you weren’t warned.
